John & Linda Whitney

Throughout the many years John and Linda Whitney have been working in metalsmithing, their goal has been to create affordable, well-crafted jewelry.

Their studio is like taking a step back to the pre-industrial age – they use only hand tools to cut pieces of brass, silver, gold, copper, and nickel silver. The pieces are shaped over silversmithing stakes and tree stumps using forming and raising hammers, and assembled with gas soldering torches and silver solder.
