Her work incorporates both wheel-throwing and hand-building techniques. Annie was born in Frederick, MD, and lived on a farm, in the deep woods, and at a plant nursery at various times during her childhood. Living in these places deeply informed the work she has created throughout her career. She lives in Brunswick, MD, and has lived in Maryland, New York City, and New Jersey. Annie graduated from the University of Maryland, College Park, with a BA in Art Studio and a minor in Art History. She holds an MA from the Maryland Institute College of Art and an MFA in Ceramics from Hood College in Frederick, MD.

Artist Statement
My work explores fantasy creatures, their environments and the idea of world-buliding.
