In addition she studied ceramics at Penland School of Craft, and sculpture at Florence Academy of Art. She lives with her husband, who has retired from performing arts management, and her studio mate Bo, a blonde hound dog mix.\u003c\/span\u003e\u003cbr\u003e\u003cspan style=\"color: rgb(69, 68, 65);\"\u003eHer current life and work reflects an intention to slow down and cultivate connection to location, land and community. \u003cbr\u003eWith a commitment to let curiosity lead and guide – these small batch, handbuilt, vessels and pots incorporate wild clays, multiple firing temperatures (including wood fire), and a variety of terra sigillatas, oxides, and glazes. \u003c\/span\u003e\u003cbr\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e\u003cspan style=\"color: rgb(69, 68, 65);\"\u003e\u003cstrong\u003eArtist Statement\u003cbr\u003eCONTEMPLATING TRUTH:\u003c\/strong\u003e\u003c\/span\u003e\u003cbr\u003e\u003cspan style=\"color: rgb(69, 68, 65);\"\u003eIn a body of work there is a common thread of expression and exploration that binds it together.  My current work contemplates our shared existence and individual essence. They are contemplative statements, re-imagined artifacts, ubiquitous and global thoughts, and universal principles.
