He is currently the Ceramics Coordinator at the Evanston Art Center, adjunct professor at the College of Lake County, and also teaches at North Shore Country Day School. He received his BFA from the University of Utah and his MFA in ceramics from Cranbrook Art Academy. Nolan has previously been a long-term artist-in-residence at Lillstreet Art Center in Chicago and the Armory Art Center in West Palm Beach, FL, and a short-term resident at The Clay Studio of Missoula. The surface is defined by arches, ellipses, and other patterns that I render in slips and glaze.
