He received his BFA from Southern Illinois University, Carbondale, and his MFA from West Virginia University. His exhibition record includes the 2019 Havana Biennial in Matanzas, a solo show at the Canton Museum of Art in 2014, plus invitationals at Cedar Creek Gallery’s National Teapot Show VII, VIII, and IX; the Chautauqua Institution Ceramics Invitational Retrospective Exhibit; and juried shows including the 9th, 12th, 16th,18th, and 26th Strictly Functional Pottery Nationals, Utilitarian Ceramics National, and numerous other exhibitions.
