This handcrafted steel frame captures the essence of a single fern leaf—wild, graceful, and full of quiet strength. Each one begins with an asymmetrical frame formed from ¾" wide steel. Then, piece by piece, a fern is shaped by hand, mimicking the natural flow and curve of the real thing. Left to weather naturally, it develops a warm, earthy patina that deepens over time.
Perfect for outdoor display year-round, the rust finish needs no upkeep and will gradually settle into a rich, tobacco-brown hue.
Each piece measures about 15" wide x 15" tall x 2" deep and comes ready to hang with a sawtooth bracket on the back.
A note about rust:
As temperatures and humidity fluctuate, you may notice light flaking—this is a natural part of the charm of a living finish. If displayed indoors, a light spray of matte clear sealant (such as Rust-Oleum) can help keep it tidy while preserving its appearance.
