Glass Bead Necklace - 20-22

$215.00

Hand-crafted by Cedar Creek Gallery studio artist Lisa Oakley, this stunning necklace features intricately designed glass beads made on-site using a molten glass bead-pulling technique. The necklace measures 20 inches in length and is easily adjustable for a custom fit up to 22".

The process of handcrafting glass jewelry is long and exacting!
First, Lisa gathers molten glass on the end of a long pipe and adds colored glass in layers. Next, she blows air through the glass, creating a hole in the bead. Then a second pipe is attached to the glass, and Lisa and her assistant stretch the glass between them into a long cane, reaching between 40 and 50 feet long.
