Bird Bell with Sage Bell

$72.00

This stoneware bird bell will look great in your house, on your porch, or in your garden, and sound wonderful as well!

The bird (known as a "Pudgie" - a play on the Budgie) is a wheel-thrown form that has been altered, then textured with a pattern. The bell is hand-built from a textured clay slab. The leaf is cut from a clay slab, then incised.
Handmade chain, studio-made glass bead, and wire-solder connections complete the assembly. These beautiful bird bells are suitable for both indoor and year round outdoor display. As with all handcrafted items, slight variations in color, size, and design are to be expected.

  • Each bird bell measures approximately 10" from top to bottom. The bell itself measures approximately 2.5" in diameter
  • Suitable for both indoor and year round outdoor display
  • As with all hand crafted items, slight variations in size, design, and color are to be expected

About Julie Olson

Julie Olson has been working with clay since 1976, and established White Oak Pottery in 1980 while living in the township of White Oak, North Carolina. The business was relocated to Cary and then again to Durham, North Carolina where she now resides.

As a full-time studio potter and artist, she produces Raku, salt-fired functional ware, and white stoneware pieces fired in an electric kiln.

Julie has been exploring metalsmithing, papermaking, woodworking, and stained-glass techniques to move into mixed media. Her work is heavily influenced by spiritual and ritual themes.
