Fiddlehead Fern

$89.00

Fresh, young shoots from the ostrich fern emerge from the ground every spring and display a unique shape that resembles the scroll on a violin (or fiddle), giving these fern heads their name.
Cedar Creek Gallery Studio Artist Harrison Harper has recreated these early spring beauties in hand-blown glass for you to enjoy in your garden year-round!
The ferns are designed to be displayed on a rebar stake pushed into the ground. Every fern includes a 17.5" pre-cut length of rebar.

Choose from three different styles:

  • Dense Green
  • Light Green
  • Green Encased in Clear Glass

Since these ferns are hand-crafted, expect slight differences in size and design. In general, they range in size from 10" - 12" tall, and 3" - 4" wide at the "fiddlehead" top.

About Harrison Harper

Harrison began his journey in glass art in 2002, working with lampworking techniques that sparked his interest in the medium. By 2004, he transitioned to soft furnace glass, drawn to its intensity, fluidity, and hands-on nature. His work is driven by a deep appreciation for the heat, focus, and tactile experience that define the process of working with hot glass.
