Shaped by hand and aged by nature, this Japanese Maple leaf frame is a tribute to the elegance of falling leaves and timeworn textures. The frame is formed from ¾" wide steel, bent into an organic, asymmetrical shape. Each maple leaf is individually crafted—no two are alike—and left to weather naturally, developing a rusted patina that grows richer and deeper over time.
This piece is made to live outdoors in every season, maintenance-free. The rust finish varies from warm orange to deep brown and will eventually settle into a rich tobacco tone.
Measuring about 15" wide x 15" tall x 2" deep, it comes ready to hang with a sawtooth bracket on the back.
A few tips for indoor display:
Rust is a naturally active finish and may shed or flake slightly, especially with temperature or humidity shifts. To minimize this, apply a couple of light coats of matte clear spray (like Rustoleum) to seal the surface without losing the natural look.
Every frame is one-of-a-kind, reflecting the individual artistry that goes into shaping each leaf by hand.
