Dangle Earrings

$69.00

These earrings are crafted from handblown furnace-pulled glass beads by Cedar Creek Gallery studio artist Lisa Oakley. These earrings measure about 2" long.

The process of handcrafting glass jewelry is long and exacting!
First, Lisa gathers molten glass on the end of a long pipe and adds colored glass in layers. Next, she blows air through the glass, creating a hole in the bead. Then a second pipe is attached to the glass, and Lisa and her assistant stretch the glass between them into a long cane, reaching between 40 and 50 feet long.
