Ever tried convincing a bonito to hold still? This fast-moving fish is back in action for a limited summer swim! Speedy Bonito has leapt out of retirement as part of Motawi’s From the Vault series and will only be available until September 22, 2025—the first day of fall.
This energetic design pays homage to an iconic Art Deco-era mural created by the renowned Gladding, McBean Tile Company, which still graces the Los Angeles Maritime Museum. Believed to date back to the 1930s or early ’40s, the mural sparked Motawi's decision to shine a spotlight on one especially quick catch.
This tile comes ready to hang in a beautifully crafted quarter-sawn oak frame with a bold ebony finish. The frame boasts expertly crafted mitered corners and sturdy stapled joints.
The framed tile's outer dimensions are 11.5" x 7.5" and its depth is 1".
