About the Teapot
This piece was made on the shores of Lake Tahoe and fired in the soda kiln at University of Nevada, Reno Lake Tahoe. The atmospheric firing enhances the rolling texture and highlights the gestural decoration. The piece fits into a larger body of work exploring patterns drawn from Appalachian quilting traditions.
