About the Teapot
Teapots hold a special meaning for me. My mom was from England and tea in a proper English teapot was part of our daily life. My teapots stray from tradition but throughout my clay life I have found joy in making teapots.

Thanks mom!

About the Artist
My love for working with clay began in the late 1960's. I received a BFA in ceramics from the University of Massachusetts in 1977. I have explored so many different ways to work with clay and I enjoy it all, but in the mid 1970's I discovered colored clay and this eventually became my main focus.
For the past 40 years I have been sharing my passion for clay through teaching classes and workshops as well as showing my work in galleries and at shows.

Artist Statement
With nature's influence evident throughout my work, I create contemporary functional and non-functional work. Hand-building with layered colored porcelain unifies my exploration of form, color, and pattern. I strive to convey a sense of inquisitiveness through fluid repetition akin to the movement of a swimming fish or the intricate patterns of a flower or a shell, taking my cues from a walk along the ocean or a pause in the garden. Working toward this goal over the years, I have developed increasingly complex color combinations and patterns to combine with compatible forms.

*Teapots that are purchased will remain on display in the gallery for the duration of the exhibition, through September 14, 2026.
After the show closes, teapots will be carefully packed and shipped by September 28, or they may be picked up at the gallery.

About National Teapot Show XIII

Cedar Creek Gallery's National Teapot Show XIII is an invitational event featuring teapots crafted by artists from across North America.  More than 200 hand-crafted teapots created using a broad range of materials - including pottery, glass, wood, fiber, and mixed media.

Teapots in the show come in all shapes and sizes! Some are functional - just right for your daily cup of tea, while others are created as sculptural teapots.

Every teapot in the show is available for purchase.

All teapots will remain on display (including those already sold), both online and in the gallery, through September 14, 2026.
