About the Teapot
This teapot was turned on a lathe from a Bradford Pear, and the vines were carved.
About the Artist
Michael was a featured demonstrator at the American Association of Woodturners (AAW) International Symposium in 2013 and received high honors, receiving the “Award of Excellence” for one of his pieces. At the 2015 International Symposium, he was awarded "Master Choice" in the Merging Exhibition. He will also be demonstrating at the 2016 AAW International Symposium in Atlanta. He has demonstrated for numerous chapters of the AAW and has been a featured demonstrator in several state symposiums. Michael is in high demand as a teacher, and his wonderful techniques are taught to students from around the world. During the last several years, he has taught in Canada, Norway, England, Turkey, and New Zealand as well as throughout the United States. He has taught in workshops, chapter classrooms, and in private settings. His work has been published in many journals nationally and internationally. The artwork created has garnered the attention of many collectors and has been included in corporate and private collections. His work is sought after by high-end galleries and gift shops throughout the world.

After the show closes, teapots will be carefully packed and shipped by September 28, or they may be picked up at the gallery.
About National Teapot Show XIII
Cedar Creek Gallery's National Teapot Show XIII is an invitational event featuring teapots crafted by artists from across North America. More than 200 hand-crafted teapots created using a broad range of materials - including pottery, glass, wood, fiber, and mixed media.
Teapots in the show come in all shapes and sizes! Some are functional - just right for your daily cup of tea, while others are created as sculptural teapots.
Every teapot in the show is available for purchase.
All teapots will remain on display (including those already sold), both online and in the gallery, through September 14, 2026.
