About the Teapot
My kids inform so much of my work from the illustrations to the forms.  These pots are perfect for the little hands that are so much of my life right now.

About the Artist
Nicole took an unconventional path to becoming a full‑time studio potter. After first pursuing a career in civil and environmental engineering, she left to follow her passion and earned an MFA in ceramics from the Rhode Island School of Design.
She draws each image by hand directly into the porcelain clay with a knife and inlays black underglaze. Every piece becomes a subtle narrative—etched with meticulous detail and softened by the movement of glaze, much like a fading memory. This quality often encourages collectors to display her work even when it’s not in use.
She is fascinated by the ways place can define and connect us, and by the human impulse to maintain collections as a means of preserving the past and easing our longing in the world. Nicole currently lives and works just outside Boston with her husband and four young children. When she’s not in her home studio, she enjoys spending time with her family and running.

Artist Statement
Fascinated by the potential of place to define and connect us, I draw subtle narratives on functional work to elicit memories of times past. I create a story to hold in your hand forever.

*Teapots that are purchased will remain on display in the gallery for the duration of the exhibition, through September 14, 2026.
After the show closes, teapots will be carefully packed and shipped by September 28, or they may be picked up at the gallery.
