Broad Tailed Hummingbird with Morning Glory

$214.00

The Broad-Tailed hummingbird spends its summers in mountain forests across the American southwest before migrating to Central America at the end of the season. In flight, the wings of a Broad-Tailed hummingbird produce a noticeable ‘trilling’ noise, unique to the breed.

This hummingbird wall sculpture features the vibrant colors of a lively hummingbird set against the softer colors of a columbine flower. The colors in this piece are created by sprinkling powdered glass over solid copper, then fusing the two in a kiln under extreme heat. The resulting floral hummingbird wall sculpture has rich detail and a smooth surface of vitreous enamel.

Measures approximately 8" wide x 12" tall x 1" deep.
