Hand-crafted by Cedar Creek Gallery studio artist Lisa Oakley, this necklace showcases the beauty of artisan glass work. Using a molten bead-pulling process, Lisa creates each bead with precision and care. The finished necklace measures 24" and is adjustable up to to 26", offering both elegance and a custom fit.
The process of handcrafting glass jewelry is long and exacting!
First, Lisa gathers molten glass on the end of a long pipe and adds colored glass in layers. Next, she blows air through the glass, creating a hole in the bead. Then a second pipe is attached to the glass, and Lisa and her assistant stretch the glass between them into a long cane, reaching between 40 and 50 feet long.
