Full-Time Retail Sales Associate

About Us
Cedar Creek Gallery is a fine craft gallery showcasing exceptional handmade work. We seek an enthusiastic and motivated individual to join our team as a Retail Sales Associate. This position is ideal for someone with a strong work ethic, a passion for retail, and a willingness to learn.

Job Responsibilities
As part of a small business, you will be involved in various daily operations. Your responsibilities will include:

Customer Service & Sales
•    Cultivating and maintaining exceptional customer relationships
•    Educating customers about artists and their work
•    Assisting customers with purchases and providing product recommendations
•    Processing sales transactions and managing inventory

Store Operations & Maintenance
•    Open and close the gallery as scheduled
•    Maintain an appealing retail space by cleaning and organizing displays
•    Assist with refreshing store aesthetics as needed
•    Receive, check-in, price, and organize new artwork arrivals
•    Package and ship customer purchases

Physical Requirements
•    Stand for extended periods during work shifts
•    Lift and carry up to 35 pounds as needed
•    Move and rearrange displays within the gallery

Qualifications & Skills
We are looking for candidates who meet the following criteria:

Essential Skills & Experience
•    Retail sales experience preferred
•    Strong customer service and interpersonal skills
•    Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
•    Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
•    Proficiency in computer use, web navigation, social media, and email communication

Part-Time Retail Sales Associate

•    Educating customers about our artists and their craft
•    Assisting customers with purchases and ensuring positive shopping experiences

Store Operations & Maintenance
•    Maintain an inviting retail space by cleaning and refreshing the retail space as needed
•    Manage merchandise by receiving, pricing, and overseeing inventory
•    Package and prepare customer purchases for pick up and shipping

•    Move and rearrange gallery displays as needed
•    Lift and carry up to 35 pounds
