This necklace is a joyful blend of vibrant color and artisan skill. Each glass bead—emerald, sapphire, amber, violet, and more—is handmade by Lisa Oakley at Cedar Creek Gallery, making every piece one of a kind. The beads are arranged on an 18-inch sterling silver chain with an adjustable clasp that extends up to 20 inches. Lightweight and modern, this necklace is perfect for those who appreciate expressive, handcrafted jewelry with personality.
How are the Glass Beads Created?
First, Lisa gathers molten glass on the end of a long pipe and adds colored glass in layers. Next, she blows air through the glass, creating a hole in the bead. Then a second pipe is attached to the glass, and Lisa and her assistant stretch the glass between them into a long cane, reaching between 40 and 50 feet long.
