About the Teapot
As a tea lover, I view the teapot as more than just the ultimate test of a potter’s ability to balance aesthetics and function; it is a personal object for everyday use. That is why for me functionality comes first and cannot be compromised.
While many may notice a Japanese influence in the design, the imagery is deepy rooted in my own culture. The flying cranes symbolize hope, aspiration, and hard work, while also representing beauty and grace.

About the Artist
Polina Miller grew up in Saint Petersburg, Russia, where she formed a deep appreciation of the importance of art in everyday life. She discovered clay after moving to the United States to join her husband. Over time, her artistic vision has evolved to making functional art that reflects forms inspired by nature. Her goal is to create pieces that catch your eye, but that also draw you in with a desire to touch, and to bring beauty into your daily routine.

*Teapots that are purchased will remain on display in the gallery for the duration of the exhibition, through September 14, 2026.
After the show closes, teapots will be carefully packed and shipped by September 28, or they may be picked up at the gallery.
